Seichem (say-kem) meaning "Power of Powers" or "Universal Energy," was discovered in 1980 by Patrick Zeigler while he was visiting Egypt and had a consciousness-raising experience when he spent the night in the crypt (initiation chamber) in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid. He felt incredible fear, released it, his heart opened and he felt connected to the Cosmos and to the Earth Mother. This is the experience that Patrick calls initiations, which he is able to pass on through the healing modality called SKHM (pronounced say-kem). 

Kathleen Milner, an American artist, author and natural healer, trademarked a healing system called Tera™, which incorporates Reiki and Seichem and other Universal Energies. In February 1991, in her first consciousness-raising experience, whereby her physical body went into the Otherworlds, she met a Higher Being, whom she later learned was Buddha. In the realm of Spirit, Buddha told Kathleen that the Reiki initiations he gave her passed on the healing energies of elemental earth, which came directly from Source or God. In Tera Mai™ Reiki-Seichem, all four elements are channeled: Earth, Fire, Water and Air/Ether.
